Coin Matrix

Trick Effect & Routine:

You lay four coins in a square, you than take a packet of four cards in your left hand and place one on top of each card long side of the card facing you (eg horizontal) starting with the bottom left coin then anticlockwise from there .You do this by holding the packet of four cards above the coin and sliding the top of the packet with your right hand. As you place the first card down you press down on the edge of the coin and it will lift up the coin you then clip it to the face of the bottom card with your thumb, sliding the top one of to coverb the place where the coin would be. You then cover the last coin the same way but without stealing the coin. so you have three cards coverd and one xposed and a card in your left hand with a coin clipped to it with your thumb. Tell the specs to watch the top left corner as that's where the magic happens. Lift up the card covering the bottom right coin, and show them the coin now cover both coins back up, cover the top left exposed coin with the card+hidden coin, now let go of the coin making sure it hits the other coin creating a noise. As this happens do the same move as before to steal the bottom right coin. This has to be done fast, just a the specs attention is diverted to the top left because of the noise steal it.Lift up both cards showing two coins in the top left and no coin in the bottom right.
say "look the coin has jumped", before the specs have fully realised what has happend, do it with the top right hand coin (have to cross you arms to do this). This time let the magic linger and flick the three coins in left hand corner showing three coins with your free hand. Now for the last one lay the coin+hidden coin down covering the other three coins but without letting the hidden coin make any noise by hitting the other coins. Now show your hands empty click you fingers over the bottom left card were there is no coin and then click your fingers over the four coins. Say "abaracadabara" or whatever (david blaine wannabes just keep silent, oh say "this is magic" at the start of the trick) then lift up both cards showing all four coins in the top left hand corner.

This was the first evere method, one easier way to do it is use one magnetic card for the first pick up move which is the hardest to do as the spec is watching closely, then do the rest of the trick normally (it would actually be harder to do with magnetic cards). Another way is tro use a fifth hidden coin all the way thru so you can show all four coins through-out the trick, i dont like this as it is not as clean. There are loads of gimmicked versions out there i dont know how they work as i feel no need to do it using gimmicks. One of the other best ways is to do it with just your hands, in which the use of a fifth coin is needed. This looks really cool when done well, but again not as clean and needs more practise. Some magicians prefer to take the second coin not thje first. There you go thats all i know, oh my fav is reverse matrix where the effect is the same up until the last coin apon which all the coins are back in their places!!! and yes it is hard.

Coin Through Neck

Trick Effect & Routine:

A coin is placed on the back of your neck and comes out of your mouth!

Method:

Beforehand, place a coin in your mouth and hold it in your cheek. You should be able to talk normally. Take another identical coin and show it to your audience. Perform French Drop, and pretend to push the coin into the back of your neck with one hand. While doing this, put the coin in your pocket. As everyone is looking at your neck, no-one will notice. This is called misdirection. Now you can show your hands freely. Now pull the coin out of your mouth. The coin will seem like it came through your neck.

The Reappearing Coin

Trick Effect & Routine:

A coin disappears and reappears.

Method:

You show a coin in the left hand then perform A French Drop, leaving it in your right hand. Then reach into your left inner jacket pocket and take out a wand, but secretly drop the coin down your left sleeve. It will stop at the elbow. Tap your left hand three times with the wand held in your right, and show that the coin has vanished. While the audience is distracted straighten your left arm and catch the coin when it drops. This can be adapted for many objects and presentations.

The Bendy Coin

Trick Effect & Routine:

Take anyones coin and have them sign it then hold it and bend it back and forth quickly. Then hand it back

Method:

After the coin is signed hold it between your thumb on one side and your pointer and middle finger on the other. Hold it with both hands on both sides loosely but dont let it fall. Then just push your hands forward and back. Do this in the mirror and you will get the right amount of movement.
